Men's Pelvic Health
Pelvic health isn’t just a women’s issue. Men and people assigned male at birth can also experience pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, and challenges with intimacy or bladder control — but they’re often overlooked or underserved.
Click the link below to find relief with men’s pelvic floor therapy in Berkeley, Albany, and Oakland for the following conditions:
Erectile Dysfunction & Pelvic Pain
Prostatitis & Pudendal Neuralgia
Erectile Function & Pelvic Pain
Pain with arousal, difficulty achieving or maintaining erections, erectile pain
Pelvic floor dysfunction can impact sexual health and erectile function in men — even when hormone levels and blood flow are normal.
You may benefit from pelvic PT if you experience:
-
pelvic pain with erection or ejaculation
-
erectile dysfunction related to pelvic tension
-
pain or numbness in the penis, scrotum, or perineum
-
pain with arousal or orgasm
Treatment focuses on releasing tight pelvic muscles (like obturator internus or bulbospongiosus), calming nerve sensitivity (pudendal, dorsal penile nerve, etc.), and supporting coordination between the breath, core, and pelvic floor. You can take control of your pelvic floor.
Prostatitis & Pudendal Neuralgia
Burning, stinging, pressure, or buzzing sensations
Do you feel a deep ache, pressure, or burning in the perineum, rectum, or testicles? Have you been diagnosed with chronic non-bacterial prostatitis, but antibiotics didn’t help? You may be experiencing pelvic floor muscle dysfunction or nerve sensitivity, not an infection.
Common symptoms include:
-
pudendal neuralgia in men
-
burning or pressure in the pelvic floor
-
buzzing or electric sensations in the rectum or penis
-
pain with sitting, ejaculation, or bowel movements
I use a hands-on, whole-body approach to reduce inflammation, release guarding patterns, and support the nervous system to help you find lasting relief from these symptoms.
Post-Surgical Pelvic Floor Rehab
Recovery after prostatectomy, hernia repair, or penile implant surgery
After prostate surgery or abdominal surgery, men may experience incontinence, pelvic pain, or erectile dysfunction. These changes are common — but they’re not permanent. With the right rehab, your body can recover and adapt.
Post-surgical conditions I treat include:
-
incontinence after prostatectomy
-
pelvic floor weakness after hernia surgery
-
erectile dysfunction after prostate cancer treatment
-
penile implant surgery recovery
We’ll work on regaining bladder control, supporting tissue healing, and restoring your core-pelvic floor system to address these difficult issues.
